The Passu Cones — Tupopdan, 6,106 m — are the silhouette that ends up on every Pakistani tourism poster, and they are just as good in person, best from the roadside pull-off south of the village or from the Passu cathedral viewpoint at first light. The Hussaini bridge nearby is a genuine rope-and-plank crossing that has become an attraction in its own right; it is safe, supervised, and not for anyone who dislikes heights. An hour uphill sits Borith Lake, a brackish bird lake used by migrating ducks, and from there a two-hour walk brings you onto the white ice of the Passu glacier.
